Daud Noorzai is the former Head of the Office of President Ghani of Afghanistan, and ran his re-election campaign in 2019. Born in Afghanistan in 1977, he grew up in Germany, where his family fled after the Soviet invasion. He studied economics, and returned to Afghanistan in 2004 to found Cetena Group, one of the country’s largest media outlets. He is a recipient of the Afghan State Medal.
